2024 Summer Theatre Camp
Program Introduction
It’s Theatre Camp time! We are so excited to offer this opportunity again this summer! We are inviting incoming fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students to participate in this two-week camp.
Our camp will begin with an Audition and Orientation Day on Sunday, July 7 from 10am-4pm. Our normal daily camp schedule will begin Monday, July 8, and run from 9am-4pm each weekday for two weeks. The final day of camp will be Friday, July 19, with evening performances on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20. Conflicts with camp days (sports camps, baseball games, long weekend trip, etc.) can usually be worked around when notified in advance. Students needing to miss more than
1-2 days of camp may need to consider auditioning for smaller roles due to the intensive nature of theatre camp schedules.
This camp is designed for students with varying levels of theater experience, from true beginners, to those experienced with school and community theater. Students will be expected to have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently at times while preparing for our production.

Show Announcement & Auditions
The show title will be announced on Orientation & Audition Day! Show selection cannot take place until we have an idea of how many actors we will have. On this first day of camp, we will announce the show, skim through the story, listen to the music, and prepare for auditions. Afterwards, we will audition for the show! Roles of all sizes are available. Students may be asked to read lines, sing, and learn basic choreography as part of the audition process. Audition results will be posted over the weekend, prior to the first Monday of camp.
Tickets & Performances
We will give two evening performances on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. It is essential that all participating students are available for both performances in order to have a role with lines or significant stage time. Tickets to each show will be sold in advance & at the door for $5.00.
Registration
Interested incoming fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students should register as soon as possible to reserve a spot at this year’s camp. We anticipate many signups, and we may have to cap registrations to keep the number of students manageable.
